Greater safety thanks to 4 chambers
Four air chambers instead of the usual three – this ensures maximum buoyancy and an extra level of safety. Your pool is optimally protected when closed.
Less space, less mess
Thanks to the cleverly designed convex curve, water and dirt drain away more effectively, and the wrapping radius – and therefore the space required – is significantly reduced. The benefits for you: more compact installation dimensions, less cleaning and, consequently, less stress.
Noticeably more robust
In the case of the comparable products we examined, we measured wall thicknesses of around 0.80 mm. In this comparison, the measured wall thickness of our profile – at up to 1.45 mm – is around 81 per cent greater than the 0.80 mm of the comparable profile examined (not a comparison with the market as a whole). A difference you can really feel.
Tightly welded
Others glue or seal the end caps of their profiles with silicone – the classic weak point where water can seep in, leading to the growth of algae. We use a state-of-the-art process to weld them securely and permanently: completely watertight, durable – and in a colour that matches too.
Individual profiles can be easily swapped
If a profile becomes damaged, simply replace that one component – without having to laboriously bend back the cover at the joints. This saves time, money and hassle, and protects the product.
Evaporation is the biggest Heat thieves.
Most of the energy is lost through the open water surface: evaporation is the mechanism involved the largest proportion of heat loss of a swimming pool. Every litre that evaporates carries heat away – and must be replaced by adding more hot water and topping up the pool.

Design Cover PVC – the robust PVC pool cover
The Design Cover PVC is the attractively priced slatted pool cover from Rollo Solar. It combines excellent thermal insulation with a high level of safety and easy maintenance – manufactured from durable polyvinyl chloride at our factory in Bad Tölz.
The 4-chamber hollow profile 13/60
At its heart lies the 4-chamber hollow profile 13/60. The fourth air chamber provides additional buoyancy and greater safety, whilst the enclosed air chambers insulate the water particularly well – heat remains in the pool and evaporation is reduced.
Tested safety
Test reports in accordance with NF P 90-308 are available for selected versions of the Design Cover PVC. The 13/60 profile is designed for a total load of up to 100 kg; when fitted with a suitable perimeter support or handrail, the closed cover enhances accident prevention. The hail resistance classification of the relevant profiles is currently undergoing re-audit. The pool cover is not a walkable surface and does not replace the duty of supervision.
Insulation and easy maintenance
A surface-mounted cover reduces evaporation – the greatest source of heat loss from a pool – and keeps out leaves, pollen and dirt. Frequently asked questions about the Design Cover PVC
How do PVC and polycarbonate profiles differ?
PVC is robust and more affordable, with very good insulation. Polycarbonate is more impact-resistant, particularly durable and available in metallic finishes.
How safe is the Design Cover PVC?

Can the cover withstand hail?
