Since 2006, we have had selected products tested by LNE (TÜV France) in accordance with the French safety standard NF P 90-308 test. The test report is available on our certification page.

The Design Cover series features a fourth hollow chamber that provides increased buoyancy, which enhances safety. However, enhanced accident protection is only ensured if there is a handrail or edge running the entire circumference of the pool; additional securing with straps and a retrofittable carabiner safety device further enhance this protection. For overflow channels, accident protection is only possible when the water level is lowered and a handrail runs around the entire perimeter. Important: A cover never replaces the duty to supervise.

The profiles in the Design Cover series (PC and PVC) are designed to support up to 100 kg in total, while the Mini Cover is designed to support up to 80 kg. This enhances safety, but does not mean you should step on the cover.

We do not currently hold an energy certification. The extent of the potential savings depends on the specific pool, its location and usage patterns. We offer a bespoke model calculation Energy Check.Performance Class A, the highest efficiency class for pool covers.

Design Cover PC: 10 standard colors plus any RAL color (also available in a solar version), including the new carbon-metallic finish. PVC: 3 colours (solar/white/grey), Mini: 2 colours.

With the in-ground system, the reel system disappears out of sight into a shaft—when open, only the pool is visible. The above-ground system is visible at the edge of the pool and is easier to retrofit.

Design Cover PC (polycarbonate): dimensionally stable up to approx. 120 °C, very smooth surface, available in all RAL colors, 5-year warranty — our recommendation, especially for high thermal loads. Design Cover (PVC): up to approx. 60 °C, 3 colors, 3-year warranty. Mini Cover (PVC 9/50) for small pools, 2-year warranty.

Yes—our drives are also available in a brine or saltwater version as an option. The standard drives must not be used in saltwater.

Yes. Our clip system allows individual profiles to be replaced at any time—which saves time and money during repairs or adjustments.

The design cover profiles are particularly durable thanks to their increased wall thicknesses (up to 1.45 mm). The hail resistance classification of these profiles is currently undergoing a re-audit. Once the audit has been completed, the updated entry will be made in the relevant hail registers.

Why such a test is not a matter of course: The amount of hail a profile can withstand depends on the material composition and the profile geometry. Even colour pigments alter the material’s properties, whilst the shape and wall thickness determine how the impact energy is distributed. The test therefore does not simply assess ‘the material’ in general, but the finished profile.

Yes, the profiles are designed for year-round use. Please consult your specialist dealer for details on winter storage.

In many cases, yes—especially for above-ground pools. Whether this is possible and how it works depends on your pool; we’ll clarify this in the quote or during the site survey.

No—unlike many other types of covers, our above-ground system does not require tracks. The edge of your pool remains clear, and there is no need to drill into natural stone or patio pavers.

Delivery and installation are handled exclusively by authorized specialist dealers/pool builders—this ensures quality. Your specialist dealer is also your point of contact for warranty and service cases and handles them with us. Upon request, we also perform installations on behalf of our specialist dealers and provide service to their end customers—using our own measurements, our own design, and our own installation team.

We manufacture custom-made products, including special shapes. There is virtually no upper limit—the largest system we have built to date measures 22 × 50 m. We determine the exact dimensions during the on-site measurement.

For standard systems (approx. 4 × 8 m), the delivery time is usually around 4–6 weeks. Custom colours and sizes take a little longer. We will provide you with a firm delivery date for your system in our quotation.

Every system is custom-made—the price depends on the pool size, model (PC/PVC/Mini), color/solar, in-ground/above-ground, and motorization. As a general guide: Our systems start at approximately €10,000. We deliberately do not quote a flat rate, but instead calculate the exact cost for your pool—you’ll receive a no-obligation quote in just a few minutes via our inquiry form or by phone.

ROLLO SOLAR grants its specialist partners a voluntary manufacturer’s warranty of up to 60 months per material, effective from the date of delivery: Design Cover PC—5 years, Design Cover PVC—3 years, Mini Cover—2 years (in accordance with the warranty terms). You benefit from this through your specialist partner: they are your point of contact in the event of a warranty claim and handle it with us. Your statutory warranty rights against your seller remain unaffected.

Exclusions include, amongst other things, incorrect installation (without an authorised specialist contractor), failure to follow the instructions, force majeure (e.g. lightning, power surges, hail exceeding the hail class specified for the relevant profile) and normal wear and tear. Unauthorised tampering with the drive or control system will invalidate the warranty.

Yes — as a manufacturer since 1983 with our own production facility in Bad Tölz, we ensure a long-term supply of spare parts; individual profiles can be replaced using a clip system.

We, too, offer a slatted/roller cover — but with a few differences: a 4-chamber profile with a curved shape (greater buoyancy, better water drainage, self-cleaning), increased wall thickness (up to 1.45 mm), solar heat gain with solar profiles, PC available in all RAL colours and individual profile replacement via clips.

A tarpaulin simply lies loosely over the top and provides neither the structural support nor the aesthetic appeal and durability of rigid profiles. Our profiled cover is sturdy, durable (with a guarantee of up to 5 years) and visually appealing.

A pool cover is a large structural element; our cover lies flat on the pool, is invisible (in-ground) or discreet (above-ground), and is much less conspicuous in the garden.
